Sacred Customers (Kathy)
During Festival International in Lafayette, Louisiana in April 2009, I was able to meet some wonderful people. It is my pleasure to be able to serve my customers and provide them with Quality "Art in Clay" pieces. Without them, I would be a starving artist... and I am Not that! Interestingly the necklace that Kathy purchased from me was actually "stolen" the night before. In 12 years, I had never had anything stolen from my booth space, but it finally happened. Amazingly, I noticed one of my sea turtle necklaces was missing and mentioned it to my husband who told me to keep my eyes open. About two hours later a young woman walked up to my booth and I noticed she was wearing the missing necklace. Naturally, I walked up to her and very assertively, but lovingly confronted her. She ended up removing the necklace and giving it back to me. She even hugged me and said she was sorry that it happened (without admitting SHE stole it) Later, my husband saw her with a group of young people drinking heavily. We felt that they could be a threat, so I reported it to the Festival manager and to make a LONG story short, they found that the group had been stealing from many artists. They were arrested and all the stolen items were returned to the artists. Amazing, huh? A happy ending when I was able to sell the same necklace to a beautiful woman the following night! Turtle energy was too strong for the woman that stole my necklace....TURTLE returned to me so that it could find it's rightful owner!
