Raku breast plate
Raku breast plate wallhanging. Special Custom order. Two created. One SOLD in New Orleans, Louisiana and the other went to a customer in Mississippi. Prior to Katrina, several women Artists that I know were preparing for a "Female Forms" exhibition, but like many things post hurricane, that was cancelled. It was at that time that I began to sculpt the human form because I was receiving "requests" for it and no other local Clay Artists were willing to explore that. I Allow myself to be Guided in new directions and try to say YES, more than I say No. I have even done special order pregnant belly castings. Please observe the excellent raku Crackles on this piece when magnified.It almost looks like fine Marble rather than clay.
