Emergence of Life
Stoneware clay tree sculpture, meticulously and lovingly created with clay coils. Two Women are represented in the TREE. One is a pregnant American Indian woman with roses emerging from her belly and climbing upward. There is the masculine Sun and Feminine Moon. On the opposite aspect is a multi-ethnic Woman as seem from behind and Looking Within. At the top is a small Turtle Dove on a nest with two eggs. The piece tells a Story and was created when one of my Women Friends wanted her first child at 40. So, I created a Tree and we imagined the perfect pregnancy and delivery. Amazingly, after several miscarriages, she finally became pregnant and gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Ananda. All my pieces reflect Life Experiences... What is Your Story?
