To Give and to Receive are 1 in Truth.
Stoneware clay TREE sculpture. Displayed at the OHR O'Keefe museum of Art in Biloxi, MS in 2007. Often when I work in clay, it is as if I step out of the way and the Piece creates itSelf. When I stepped back and saw only one arm on this Tree sculpture, I wondered what that meant. After pondering that, I realized that it was related to the experience of Allowing so many wonderFUL Beings to help us cleanup and rebuild our lives after hurricane Katrina.It is often said that it is better to give than to receive,BUT, in truth, to give and to receive are the same Energy. We can not do ONE without the Other! We are interdependent and connected.Perhaps we often like to be the Giver, because we then FEEL that we are in control. In truth, we must know that Life supports us no matter what and Gifts abound.
